Robert Bullington } Deed of Conveyance
To } State of South Carolina
Samuel Bullington } Spartanburgh District
Know all men by these presents that I,
Robert Bullington of the State & district aforesaid, in the
consideration of Four hundred & fifty dollars to me paid by Samuel
Bullington hath bargained Sold & released and by these presents do
bargain Sell & release unto sd S. Bullington a tract
or parcel of land whereon he now lives, being on the South side of South
Pacolet river, containing one hundred & thirty four acres, bounded as
follows. Beginning at a Gum on sd river thence So 5 E. 15 ch
to a red oak thence 3.50 to a Stake thence S 45 E. 10 ch to a Post Oak
thence S 74 E 29.50 to a Stake all on McDowell's line. Thence No.
15 ch to a Chestnut near the spring thence with the meanders about No.
40 W 24.50 to a White oak E 2.50 to stake thence No 17 to stake on the
bank of the river thence with the meanders of the river to the beginning
to have & to hold forever and I, Robert Bullington, do hereby
bind myself & my heirs to warrant and forever defend the right thereof
together with the appurtenances thereunto against any person or persons,
claiming the Same or any part thereof. In witness whereof I have set my
hand and seal the Eighteenth day March in the year of our Lord one
thousand Eight hundred & thirty six and in the sixtieth year of the
independence of the United States America. Signed sealed and delivered

Spartanburgh District } that he saw Robert Bullington Sign
Seal & deliver the
within Deed of Conveyance to Samuel Bullington for the use and
purposes therein mentioned and that John Bomar and himself in the
presence of each other witnessed the Execution & acknowledgement of the
same. Sworn and Suscribed before me the 20 July 1848

district do hereby
Spartanburgh District } certify unto all Whom it may concern that
Mary Bullington wife of the within named Robert Bullington
did this day appear before me & upon being privately & separately
examined before me and declare that she did freely and Voluntarily
without any compulsion and fear of any person or persons whosoever,
renounced, released and forever relinquish unto the within named [Page
38 of Deed Book AA] Samuel Bullington, his heirs and assigns all her
interest and estate and also all the rights and claim of Dower of, in
and to all and Singular the premises within mentioned and released.

Know all men by these presents that
I, Samuel Bullington of the State and district aforesaid in
Consideration of four hundred and fifty dollars to me paid by Oliver
Clark of the State and district above named have granted bragained
Sold and released and by these presents do grant bargain & sell unto the
above named Oliver Clark a tract of land where on I now live
Situate in the district & state above named on the South side of South
Pacolet River containing by Survey One hundred & thirty four acres more
or less, and bounded as follows. Beginning on a Gum on sd
river thence S. 5 E. 15 Ch to red oak thence 3.50 to stake thence So. 45
E. 10 Ch to Post Oak thence S 74 E. 29.50 to stake all on McDowell's
line thence N. 15 Ch to a chestnut near the spring thence with the
meanders about north 40 W 26.50 to white oak - thence 2.50 to stake
thence 17 to stake on the bank of the river thence with the meanders of
the river to the Beginning, to have & to hold forever and I,
Elizabeth Bullington do hereby Join my husband Samuel Bullington
in the Deed and hereby relinquish & release unto the above named
Oliver Clark all my interest Estate & Claim of Dower to all and
singular the premises above named and released and I, Samuel
Bullington do hereby bind myself, my heirs, Executors &
administrators to warrant and forever defend the right hereditaments and
the same or any part threreof. In witness whereof we have hereunto set
our hands and seals, this the twenty first day of January Eighteen
hundred & Forty Seven

Sign Seal and deliver the within deed of Conveyance to Oliver Clark
for the use and purposes therein mentioned and that S. Bullington
and himself in the presence of each other witnessed the Execution and
acknowledgment of the same.

without any Compulsion dread or fear of any person or persons whomsoever
renounce release and forever relinquish unto the within named Oliver
Clark his heirs and assigns all her interest of Dower of in and to
all and singular the premises within mentioned and released. Given under
my hand and Seal 20th July 1848
